Story behind Adoption
I picked up Om from some advertising in the vet school that they
had an extra tortoise. When we went over to meet the tortoise he peed
on Megan, that decided the issue, he went home with me to Ohio.
Story behind Name
I really liked the characterization of the tortoise in the book
Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. So I named him after the Great God
Om.
