Ain't the Croc cute?
Central Florida University
I went down to CFU with Ed, and Mike to present CAPA to some of
the Faculty members down there. The campus was gorgeous. (But
even in early April it was quite warm.)
While down in Florida I also got to go to Islands of Adventure.
I was very amazed by the wonderful architecture down
there. They did a good job of taking cartoon images and making
them real.
This guardian was not doing a very good job of scaring off
visitors.
This roller oaster was incredibly well down. I was trying
to create the sensation of two dragons flying around an
battling. I rode this one twice.
The scultures of the dragons at the entrance were very well
done. Ed came with me on most of the Roller Coasters. He said
it took him a week before he felt like he was back to normal.
And right accross from the Dragn scultures was this wonderful
building. I think it was a souvenir shop.
Dr.Seuss Land was also incredibly well done.
NASA
We also stopped by NASA while down there. Quite by accident, we
were just planning on driving to the coast since we had a day to
kill, and started seeing signs for NASA so we stopped in.
Zen Without The Wait
I got Amy Bauer a Bonsai Potato Kit, I think it worked out
really nice.
Megan made the two cute smaller pumpkins, while Guy followed a
book pattern to make the large scary one. The Larger of Megan's
looks kinda neat, because the stem of the Pumpkin is the
nose. While the smaller one wasn't a pumpkin at all but rather a
small gourd that looked alot like a pumpkin. I love the mustache.
Christmas
I think the LEGO train that was added this year looks really
nice with the rest of the tree.
